Borealis Park Homicide Investigation Continues

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the deaths of James and William Beck as the Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to actively investigate the homicides. On June 26, 2011, police responded to a complaint of an assault that occurred at the Borealis Park near downtown Fort McMurray. When investigators arrived on scene is was evident that an altercation had taken place between a number of individuals that resulted in the two young males being fatally wounded.

The investigation into this incident remains active and on-going. Thus far police have exhausted numerous avenues to gain leads and information on the matter. Although the details of the investigative approaches cannot be released to protect the integrity of the on-going file, it is safe to say that many involved persons have been interviewed, and crucial evidence has been collected.

Although a significant amount of time has passed, and even though the area was heavily canvassed at the on-set, police are still looking to speak with anyone who may have further information about the matter.
