From its humble origin as the five-member Western Inter-College Conference created in 1964, the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference has evolved into the pre-eminent college athletic conference in Canada, having won more national championship medals than any of the other five regional college athletic conferences in Canada.
Thousands of student athletes have competed and graduated and progressed to successful careers while a number of famous coaching careers trace their start to the ACAC.
To celebrate this historic milestone and the accomplishments of so many individuals who contributed to the ACAC as Builders, Coaches or Athletes, the ACAC is proud to announce the inaugural first 50 Honored Members who will be inducted into the ACAC Hall of Fame at a gala evening on Saturday May 10, 2014 at the Sutton Place Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Over the final three weeks of April, the ACAC will reveal 10 new inductees in random order, through five separate announcements made on Monday April 14, Wednesday April 16, Wednesday April 23, Monday April 28 and Wednesday April 30. A summary of the 50 inductees will be circulated on Monday May 5.
The Keyano Huskies are pleased to announce that Alwyn Piche will be inducted in the Athlete Category and was named in the third announcement made today.
