Municipality maintains normal service levels during temporary heating issues in office space

As a result of a failure in the heating system at the Hardin Building over the weekend, a number of Municipal departments have been temporarily relocated to alternative Municipal offices. Service delivery to the community is in no way impacted, and operations continue as normal.
During the night of Nov. 29, 2014, serious boiler problems developed causing the heating system to fail. The internal temperatures of the building plummeted, making working conditions in the building unbearable. This temporary relocation has impacted Human Resources, Engineering, Information and Advisory Services, Public Operations, and the Office of the Municipal Auditor.
Though this temporary displacement has no impact on the Municipality’s service delivery, some of the locations for services continue to change. Updates regarding temporary locations for Human Resources and Engineering will be shared once available. Residents are encouraged to visit the website, and call PULSE: 24/7 Call-line for up-to-date information.
Repair and mitigation efforts are currently a priority and more updates will be provided as they become available.
