RCMP Investigate Homicide

On March 17, 2015, just shortly before 8 a.m., the Wood Buffalo RCMP officers were called to Mustang Road in Fort McMurray where EMS was on scene with a 26-year-old man who had been a victim of an aggravated assault. The man was transported to the local hospital where he later died.  The identity of the man will not be shared at this time as per his family’s request.  An autopsy has occurred and it has been determined that the manner of death was a homicide due to a stab wound.

Thus far, there is no indication that this incident was arandom act.
