Keyano College President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kevin Nagel has resigned from his position, after almost five years at the school.

An official release stated: “The Board of Governors would like to thank Dr. Nagel for his contributions to the College and the wider region,” said Keyano College Board of Governors Chair Kara Flynn.

“Under his leadership, Keyano was able to expand its academic programming to include a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, the delivery of the final two years of the Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education as well as a number of simulation and safety training programs. These programs will continue to benefit our community and its stakeholders for years to come.”

Nagel took on the President and CEO position in the Spring of 2011, this year would have been the end to his five year contract. The College further stated in the release that the Board of Governors is working on a replacement of an interim president and will be announced in the near future.

“Leanne and I have really enjoyed the community and I have very much appreciated the opportunity to work with the many community and college stakeholders and board members over the course of the past five years. We have developed many great friendships here and look forward to continuing our work together as our paths may variously cross in the future,” Nagel said in the February 2 release.

“The Board of Governors would like to wish Dr. Nagel well in his future endeavours,” Flynn said.
