Ready to build for the future generations
By Tim O’Rourke, Publisher of Connect Weekly
Hello Fellow Evacuees,
What a crazy three plus weeks since The Beast wildfire evacuated us from our home in Fort McMurray.
Since leaving, I have lived like a Nomad in Plamondon, Lac La Biche, Edmonton, Innisfail and maybe Red Deer next, until we can return. After 29 years of marriage, we have a carload of stuff since as everything else burned to ashes on May 3, but my wife and I, along with our dog and good friends are alive and well. You can’t replace life.
We must remain strong and adaptable as we prepare to return home and help shape and rebuild Fort McMurray for future generations.
