Hundreds of residents came together for the 2016 Community Registration Day at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre on September 3.

“Despite the many challenges local organizations and groups have faced during 2016, Community Registration Day was another terrific success this year with several groups and organizations participating and connecting with community members,” said Annette Antoniak, Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation (RRC) of Wood Buffalo. “We believe providing opportunities to connect, network and develop new relationships is critical for our community this year.”

In a partnership between RRC and FuseSocial, the event kicked off with a networking breakfast. Residents were also treated to an Exhibitor BBQ hosted by Enbridge.

The annual event takes place to help locals explore all the Wood Buffalo region has to offer. From sports and recreation organizations to volunteer opportunities, exhibitors are on-site to meet and greet with guests to help them better understand their agencies and learn more on how they can get involved.
